EN - Beyond the Review - Lessons from Norway on transformative actions for the 2030 Agenda
Welcome to A Space For Us, the Forus podcast that brings together civil society national platforms, activists, thinkers and changemakers fighting for justice across the globe. Today's episode is part of our series "Beyond the Review", recorded on the sidelines of the UN High-level Political Forum taking place in New York from July 7–15, 2026. This year, Norway is presenting its third Voluntary National Review - and a third review is a different kind of moment. It's no longer about introducing yourself to the process. It's about honest reckoning: what has actually changed, what hasn't, and what civil society has to say about the gap between political ambition and lived reality. Here today to help us navigate that conversation is Aron Halfen, Head of Policy at ForUM, the Norwegian Forum for Development and Environment, a network of some 60 Norwegian organisations working across development, environment, peace and human rights, and one of the most consistent civil society voices in Norway's engagement with the 2030 Agenda.
