Forus, the network of networks joining forces for effective social change.
Forus is a growing and dynamic global network, founded in 2008.
Today, Forus represents 72 National Platforms and 7 Regional Coalitions that cover West Africa, Southern Africa, Central Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific. Linking together over 24,000 NGOs, active on development, human rights, and environmental issues, Forus has the capacity and legitimacy to be a powerful actor in global governance fora.

WHAT WE DO
HOW WE STRENGHTEN CIVIL SOCIETY

Connecting national and regional platforms to build common actions, learn from each other and fight for an enabling environment for civil society organizations.

Supporting and developing the capacities of its members for more effective participation in the decision-making process, using collective intelligence from the network and innovative approaches.

Influencing public policies with our members, by participating in official negotiations and public mobilizations at the national, regional, and international levels and publishing key advocacy reports.

- We facilitate spaces for collaboration, peer-sharing and learning between our members, grassroot activists and other actors of civil society

- We provide capacity-development support and fund projects implemented by our members in response to their assessed needs to help strengthen the structures and leadership of NGO networks.

- We are particularly committed to transparency and mutual accountability between our members, governance bodies, our donors and partners.
