The 9th World Congress Against the Death Penalty will take place in Paris from June 30 to July 2, 2026, marking a key moment for the global abolitionist movement. Held every three years since 2001, this international event will celebrate 25 years of World Congresses and bring together actors committed to ending the death penalty.

The Congress will provide a space to assess progress, address ongoing challenges, and strengthen strategies to advance universal abolition.
