The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Open Government Academic Network (RAGA) International and the National University (UNA) of Costa Rica are organising the First International Congress on Open State and Governance, to be held from 26 to 28 June 2024, in Heredia (Costa Rica), at the headquarters of the UNA, Campus Omar Dengo, Auditorium Corra Ferro Calabrese.

The objective of the meeting is to provide a space where representatives of academia, national and local governments, as well as civil servants from different branches of government, civil society, the private sector and multilateral and cooperation agencies, can present and discuss their research, results and reflections on the open state and new governance.
