50 years into the Stockholm meeting, and we are facing planetary crisis of climate change, pollution and waste, nature and biodiversity loss, as well as other planetary ills that are affecting current and future prosperity and wellbeing. An unhealthy planet threatens human health, prosperity, equality and peace – as the world has seen only too clearly in COVID-19. Policy (in)coherence is observed as one of the important roadblocks towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Come and discuss if you think these concerns are ‘Urgent’!!  


The Event will attempt at focusing the following issues:

1. How far have the countries in Asia / Global South been able to address the policy coherence in between SDG target 13 and Paris Agreement on climate actions? Case studies from Malaysia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal etc.

2.What are the key lessons learned in delivering the policy aspirations at the ground, especially how local people are involved in the process of climate governance and in fiscal decision making from a rights-based perspective?
