As part of the Sixth Meeting of the Regional Conference on Population and Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Gurises Unidos, MMI LAC, the NNAPES Platform and ANONG, a Forus member, invite civil society organisations, academia, public authorities and other stakeholders to join a regional side event: “Girls, Children and Adolescents and Organised Crime: Building Responses for and with New Generations in the Current Context, for Development and Democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean.” The event will create space for regional dialogue and the development of concrete proposals to address the impact of organised crime on the rights, wellbeing and life opportunities of children and adolescents across Latin America and the Caribbean. The discussion will explore how governments, civil society and other actors can work together to build responses that place children and adolescents at the centre of efforts to strengthen democracy, development and social protection in the region.
