In 2017, the Romanian NGDO Platform marked 10 years of existence (formally established in 2007). This cornerstone highlights the need for an in-depth reflection process to assess the impact and results achieved so far, especially on advocacy at national and regional level and capacity building of its members. It is necessary to evaluate the real impact of the platform, to provide recommendations on strengthening the current governance structure (to ensure a sustainable development of FOND) and to reassess the needs of its members in engaging more at regional and international level. The interactive process involving the members and external stakeholders, will increase FOND’s accountability. As an added value, the evaluation can be relevant for other Forus members by encouraging experience sharing and synergies among Forus members. In addition, based on the key needs identified during the evaluation, a training will be organized for the members strengthening their involvement in the platform.
