Mechanisms of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for Monitoring & Accountability of the SDGs by 2030
The aim is to Raise awareness and influence decision-makers on the issues of declining societal expectations and implementation of the SDGs, as well as their commitments and accountability role. As part of monitoring Morocco's commitment to the adoption of the SDGs and in order to strengthen the knowledge and skills of civil society in this area and lead them to put in place tools for strategic monitoring and advocacy, Espace Associatif envisages the duplication of its capitalized experiences in monitoring the MDGs and SDGs, mainly consultations, training workshops and advocacy actions.
To this end, our intervention proposal is articulated around the mechanisms of the CSOs for monitoring and accountability of the SDGs by 2030, notably the following 4 objectives:
-
Goal 3 - access to health: Based on the expertise of the space in this area and in particular the study developed on the right of access to information;
-
Goal 4 - access to quality education: capitalization on the experiences of EA in 2010 (inclusive education project) and the framework partnership signed with the Ministry of Education in November 2010 in the field of Education in Morocco: “What assessment for what efficiency?”;
-
Goal 5 - gender equality: Based on the mission and strategy of the EA, within the framework of the gender project "Integration of the gender approach in economic and social development policies in Morocco", Espace Associatif works to reduce the existing gaps between men and women found in different spheres of development through the establishment of associative agendas of Equality which represent an associative action plan for equality between men and women(project being finalized with the European Union for effective and responsible monitoring, advocacy and partnership around the Government's Equality Plan.);
-
Goal 17 - Partnerships for Achieving Goals: Capitalizing on EA Consultations: Aid Effectiveness and Development Effectiveness.
