Reflecting on an enabling environment for CSOs
Through the implementation of a joint project, Red Encuentro and POJOAJU intend to reflect on the enabling environment for CSOs by carrying out a diagnosis and formulating advocacy proposals with theirs members in both countries. In order to have a greater impact at the local level, the proposals will be agreed between the two platforms and other civil society actors in both countries, creating opportunities for debate on the experiences of articulation with the State. This will be the basis for meetings with decision-makers in these countries. Likewise, in order to strengthen articulation at the sub-regional level, an online dialogue space will be proposed to at least 20 organisations from 4 Southern Cone countries for the exchange of knowledge, lessons learned and proposals for advocacy actions. The objective is for national platforms to improve their capacity to respond to the restriction of the enabling environment, influence public debate, generating new conversations with State bodies for the implementation and co-construction of public policies. At the end of the project, a didactic publication will be produced that could inspire other organisations in other countries.
