CNONGD’s main objective is to contribute effectively to the improvement of the internal governance of Congolese CSOs in order to increase their delivery capacity in favor of grassroots communities and to ensure their participation in decision-making processes for Sustainable Development in the DRC.  

Some more specific goals include supporting the structuring and facilitation by CSOs, members and non-members of CNONGD, of multi-stakeholder forums for exchange on current socio-political issues in the DRC at both national and provincial levels, in order to influence the governance of the country and promote the well-being of the population. Also, to help CSO members and non-members of the CNONGD to develop their delivery capacities and to become administratively, technically, financially and morally/ethically more viable and relevant in their respective areas of intervention.
