Forus General Assembly 2026 Practical Guide

Venue

The General Assembly will take place at the Angkor Paradise Hotel (National Road No. 6, Phum Taphul, Sangkat Svay Dangkoum, Siem Reap, KH-17252, Siem Reap, Cambodia).

Dress Code

Please note that the dress code of the GA is business casual. Traditional fashion is encouraged at any time, of course, and in particular on Opening Day, Monday, 23 March.

Accomodation & Meals

Forus will cover accommodation and conferencing for up to one representative per member organisation. Breakfast is included for all single or double accommodations.

The conference package also includes lunch, dinner, and coffee and tea breaks.

Additional representatives are coordinating directly with the Secretariat. For any questions, please contact: [email protected]

Airport - Hotel - Airport Transportation

Covered and arranged by Forus. You will easily spot the shuttle provider holding a Forus sign at the airport arrival gate. Feel free to identify and connect with fellow Forus members on your arrival flight to Siem Reap, as you will likely be arriving on the same plane as other participants!

Showcase Your Organisation!

During lunch breaks, there will be an open space for members to showcase posters highlighting their organisations and work. You can bring your own Poster (maximum size 1m x 1.5m, about two A2 sheets), or you can create one on-site using the paper and markers we will provide.

Discovering Angkor & Connecting as a Network

The General Assembly is not only a space for strategic discussions — it is also an opportunity to reconnect in person, strengthen relationships, and enjoy meaningful moments together as the Forus family. As part of the week, we are planning an early excursion to visit one temple within the iconic Angkor Wat complex, one of the most renowned cultural heritage sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

To ensure a comfortable visit, we recommend: light, comfortable clothing and walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and mosquito repellent.

⚠️ Please note that when visiting temples, modest clothing covering shoulders and knees is required. Further practical information (timing, meeting point, and logistics) will be shared in the final programme.

Share a Gift!

We also invite you to bring a Small Gift from your home country to share with another participant! It’s a fun way to connect, celebrate our diversity, and create lasting memories together as part of the Forus family!

Other Travel Expenses

Please note that Forus will not cover: per diem, local transportation in your home country (from/to airport), entry/visa/exit fees, travel/medical insurance, vaccination-related costs, and any other incidental expenses.

Prepare your Trip!

Below is key information to help you prepare your travel arrangements.

FLIGHTS

If Forus booked your flights: You should have received your tickets by email. Please:

  • Save and print your tickets
  • Review flight routes and connections carefully
  • Keep your boarding passes, as they will be requested by the Forus Team during the GA

If Forus did NOT book your flights: Please share your full itinerary as soon as possible with: [email protected] and [email protected]

Check-in and Boarding Pass

Obtaining your boarding pass is the responsibility of each participant. To avoid issues:

  • Complete online check-in at least 24 hours before departure
  • Alternatively, you may check in at the airport at the airline counter. We recommend doing so at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight.

Please travel with all required documentation, including:

  • Passport
  • Flight tickets
  • Hotel reservation
  • Visa
  • Invitation letter
  • Vaccination proof (if applicable)

Transit connections

Participants will travel from many regions and may transit through cities such as: Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Dubai, Istanbul, São Paulo, Singapore, among others.

Given the current situation in the Middle East, participants whose flights go through Dubai or Qatar will be contacted by the Forus Team as soon as possible to help arrange alternative routes.

Please check transit requirements carefully — including possible visas or vaccination requirements — using official government or airport websites, as rules vary by country and can change.

For participants with long layovers requiring overnight stays, Forus has arranged accommodation near the airport. Details have been shared by email where applicable.

If you haven’t received your flight tickets or have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] and [email protected]

Cambodia Visa & Entry Requirements

Participants began processing visas in early February. Forus and CCC have been coordinating with Cambodian immigration authorities to facilitate the process.

If you have not yet started your application, please do so as soon as possible.

Below, you will find a step-by-step guide to help you complete your visa application.

Example: If you fly back home on 29 March 2026, your passport must be valid until at least 30 September 2026. ⚠️This requirement is strictly enforced by Cambodian authorities. Entry will be denied if your passport does not meet this condition.
  2. Personal information: You will be asked to provide standard personal details, including (but not limited to): personal address, occupation, passport information, email, phone number.
  3. Additional required documents:
  • A recent passport-size photograph (jpg format)

Key Documents Provided by Forus

As part of your application, you will need the following THREE documents, which have been emailed to you by the Forus Team:

  1. Your Flight Ticket(s) and confirmation(s)
  2. Your Hotel Reservation at Angkor Paradise Hotel, located in National Road No.6, Phum Taphul, Svay Dangkum District, KH-1700 Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia
  3. Your official personalised Invitation Letter to the General Assembly

If you notice any errors in these documents or if you haven’t received them, please contact us immediately. We also strongly recommend that you: save digital copies of these documents, print hard copies, and carry both digital and printed versions with you during your travel.

Visa Fee

When submitting your online application, you will be required to pay a 30 USD visa fee, payable online by Visa debit or credit card only. Please note that Forus is unfortunately not able to cover visa fees, so this cost must be covered by participants.

How to Apply – Official Website Only

To start your visa application, please use ONLY the official Cambodian e-Visa website:  https://www.evisa.gov.kh/. When applying, select “T – Tourist Visa".

⚠️ Do NOT use any other websites or links found via Google, as they may be fraudulent or contain incorrect information.

The application takes no more than 15 minutes to complete, and you can complete it in English, French, Spanish, and other languages. We strongly recommend that you carefully read the instructions provided on the webpage.

After you submit all the required information and documents and complete the payment, you will receive a reference number. Please save and keep this number, as it will be required if you need to check or edit your visa information or if you encounter any issues. You can check the status of your visa approval after payment via the following link: https://www.evisa.gov.kh/check_change

IMPORTANT! Process & obtain your E-Arrival Certificate & QR Code!

All international visitors are required to complete Cambodia’s e-Arrival card form, a mandatory digital entry system that replaces the old paper arrival card, health declaration, and customs form for people flying into the country.

→ Please note that YOU MUST PROCESS YOUR E-ARRIVAL CARD seven days before you enter Cambodia, regardless of whether you need an e-Visa or not. After submission, you will obtain a QR confirmation code to show at immigration upon your arrival in Cambodia.

If You Encounter Any Issues

If you experience any difficulties processing your E-Visa or your E-Arrival Certificate, contact us immediately — early action allows us to liaise with authorities if needed.

Should you have any questions or require any help, please contact Arturo at [email protected] and Isabella at [email protected]
