In its wake-up call to strengthen #humanrights activity, rehabilitation, reformation, reintegration, and economic empowerment of incarcerated individuals, Hope Behind Bars Africa is fully leveraging digital media and technology to support this population in particular.
Hope Behind Bars, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the dignity of every individual and upholding justice, has been working tirelessly to transform the lives of incarcerated individuals. Through strategic collaborations and innovative programs—such as the use of digital media and technology—Hope Behind Bars Africa, a member organization of the Nigeria Network of NGOs, is amplifying its advocacy efforts, raising awareness about the challenges faced by incarcerated individuals, and providing platforms for storytelling and skill-building. These initiatives are geared toward fostering rehabilitation and empowering individuals to rebuild their lives even post-incarceration.
This work aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and with the principles of Leaving No One Behind including:
