Diana Olmedo Chavez
MEAL and Capacity Strengthening Assistant
I am currently completing the second year of a Master’s degree in International Affairs, Inequalities, and Human Rights at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. I began my graduate studies with a first year in International Cooperation and Development, with a focus on Latin America. I have experience working as a Faculty Assistant at two universities in Mexico and France, where I supported the organisation of international academic events and contributed to strengthening academic coordination and event management. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to working in multicultural environments. I have also participated in educational and awareness-raising initiatives with young audiences through my work with the Mexican organisation RIDS, focusing on sexuality and rights. I am particularly interested in public policy analysis and the role of civil society in the promotion and protection of human rights. My research focuses on the institutionalisation of feminist movements and their impact on public policy reforms, with a particular emphasis on gender equality and advocacy strategies.
