Forus Chair

Christelle is the Chair of Forus. She has a bachelor degree in foreign languages and a masters degree in translation and interpretation from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. She also has a masters in project management from the Institut Africain de Management in Senegal. Christelle has been very engaged in civil society not only in her country but also in West Africa, especially in the Sahel region, where she has focused on the defense of human rights as well as climate change related issues. She is also an activist for children‘s and women’s rights. Christelle served as sponsorship manager in Burkina Faso for more than five years in the organisation Children Believe, before leaving the organization and returning as country director in 2018. Since July 2020, she has been chairing the Board of Directors of the SPONG (Secrétariat Permanent des ONG), Forus’ member in Burkina Faso.
