Advancing fundraising skills, digital capacity, and collaborative synergies for local impact
UNITAS, the Unión Nacional de Instituciones de Trabajo de Acción Social in Bolivia, focused on strengthening resource mobilisation, knowledge management, digital skills and collaborative capacities across its network. The project supported members to use new tools, participate in joint initiatives and build stronger connections around shared territorial priorities.
Key Results
-
Strengthened fundraising, knowledge management and planning capacities across the network.
-
Created a virtual learning platform for members.
-
Increased member reach to 90%, above the initial 60% target.
-
Improved active participation in joint territorial initiatives, reaching 79% of member organisations.
-
Advanced a more decentralised and participatory model for identifying shared advocacy themes.
Learning
UNITAS’ experience shows that capacity strengthening works best when it is connected to members’ real priorities and when senior leadership is engaged from the beginning. The project also shows that digital tools are more useful when they are combined with technical support, ongoing monitoring and spaces for members to apply what they learn.
