El Comité de Cooperación para Camboya (CCC) es una de las principales organizaciones de ONG de Camboya, con cerca de 180 miembros que trabajan en diversos sectores del desarrollo. El CCC ha desempeñado las funciones de defensor de la gobernanza, coordinador y promotor para crear un entorno propicio para las OSC y un centro de recursos para las OSC a nivel nacional y subnacional.

Monitoring and Review of SDG 16 Plus at the National and Regional Level (2015-2020) in AsiaThe concept of SDG 16+ refers to the fact that SDG 16 (“Peaceful Just and Inclusive Societies”) is interlinked with many other SDGs and should thus be implemented as such, in a transversal manner, enhancing issues like government accountability, building trust and sustaining peace. Coordinated by the Asia Development Alliance with contributions from Forus and the TAP network and based on case studies from 13 Asian countries, this report assesses the gaps and challenges of SDG 16 + implementation in Asia and includes good practices and recommendations that can help policy makers understand the perspectives and priorities of the local communities.

"Realizar el potencial del Objetivo 16 para promover y proteger el espacio cívico".Civil society will face significant challenges in fulfilling the role it has been mandated by the 2030 Agenda without access to adequate civic space, and an enabling environment in which to operate. Current research suggests that civil society in over half of the countries of the world is facing serious restrictions on its freedom to engage, express itself and be heard. This report based on 18 case studies raises the awareness of members of the potential of Goal 16 of the 2030 Agenda to be used as a lever for creating greater political space for civil society, and to enable it to contribute more effectively to monitoring and implementing the 2030 Agenda. Finally the results of these case studies are likely to contribute to the development of new civic space indicators which will measure the efforts of UN Member States to “protect fundamental freedoms” in accordance with international human rights standards and national human rights laws.
