Borso Tall

Senegal

Borso is an award-winning journalist and human rights educator with over a decade of international experience and a focus on African affairs. She is a member of the Pulitzer Ocean Reporting Network (ORN), the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), and Chevening. Borso holds an MSc in Equality and Human Rights (University of Glasgow, 2018) and is an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (ASU Leadership Training, 2016). Her academic foundation also includes an MA in English Studies (Cheikh Anta Diop University, 2013) and a BA in Social Work (ENTSS Dakar, 2012). Since 2021, she has focused on covering grassroots efforts and has gained significant experience training in electoral and peacebuilding processes in Africa. Her work in this area involves key partnerships with the Gorée Institute, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Dakar, and the Alioune Blondin Beye Peacekeeping School in Bamako. Borso is native fluent in French, English, and Wolof. For the Forus Journalism Fellowship, Borso aims to amplify grassroots movements and civil society voices from West Africa.
