As part of our global dialogue series on defending civic space, we invite you to join this virtual workshop taking place during the UN General Assembly (UNGA80).

Co-hosted by Accountability Lab, CIVICUS, Forus, Oxfam International, the TAP Network, Transparency International, and the Quaker United Nations Office, this side-event will provide a vital platform for civil society voices at a moment when opportunities for engagement are increasingly restricted.

Together, we will move beyond diagnosis of the threats — from shrinking enabling environment to restrictive laws and funding cuts — and focus on solutions. Through interactive breakout discussions, participants will co-create practical, solidarity-driven strategies to strengthen resilience and ensure civic actors can continue driving progress toward just, inclusive, and sustainable societies.
