On the occasion of the Global Week of Action for the SDGs, Global Call to Action Against Poverty in collaboration with numerous civil society organizations will host a virtual Global People’s Assembly.

During the assembly, participants will reflect on inequalities that were reinforced during the COVID-19 crisis and collaboratively think of actions that can be taken to engage systemic change. On Thursday the 23rd, there will be a final Global event where activists from all around the world will meet virtually to reflect on how we can collectively push our demands. This will be the “Virtual People’s March”, as different stakeholders will virtually march and explain which demands they can help becoming true.

This initiative builds upon the People’s Assembly 2019 where 300 participants from 80 countries produced the 2019 declaration. This year, a new Global People’s Assembly Declaration will be produced collaboratively and will then be presented during the general debate of the UN General Assembly.

Participate in the Global People’s interactive map filled with demands from people all over the world to global and local decision makers!
