This virtual event with 2-hour-sessions over three days is examining the engagement of civil society organizations in Africa and Asia with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and human rights in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It further examines the state and challenges of civic space and democracy in Africa and Asia. The conference is organized by the Asia Democracy Network and the Community of Democracies in collaboration with a number of civil society groups and networks, among them Forus. Forus advocacy coordinator, Deirdre de Burca, will be sharing the work of the network on October 27.
