The review of the HLPF as an opportunity to strengthen multi-stakeholder participation & improve SDG implementationThe High-level Political Forum is the United Nations (UN) central platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Civil Society is calling for greater transparency in relation to the process of HLPF review. Given the importance of the official review of the HLPF this year, Forus and Civil Society actors are calling for civil society to be fully informed, in advance of the launch of the process being launched, of how it can best engage with and influence it.

The effective implementation of Goal 16 is a precondition for the realization of the 2030 Agenda. The report « Empowering Civil Society for Monitoring and Action on SDG16 » published by Forus, the Asia Development Alliance (ADA), and the Transparency, Accountability, and Participation (TAP) Network provides analysis of a range of approaches and methodologies utilized by civil society for implementation and monitoring of SDG16 by civil society.
