Nepal is amongst the 20th from the top in the list of most multi disaster-prone countries in the world. Much-Awaited legislation on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Act 2015 has been endorsed replacing the Natural Calamity Relief Act of 1982. However, effective implementation of the Act is a major challenge from federal to the local level. 

NFN will conduct Accountability Dialogues on the national and provincial level on The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act, 2015 and its effective implementation. The dialogues will bring the participants from government institutions, CSOs and disaster management sector. Follow up and monitoring on the implementation status of the Act in provincial and local level will be done on the leadership of NFN and its member organizations.
