Within the framework of this project, CONGCOOP will produce an alternative civil society report on the status of SDG implementation in Guatemala. This report will be evidence-based, will be supported by several allied social organisations and will serve as an input for advocacy at the level of the executive and legislative bodies, so that the analysis and proposals contained in the report can be considered and potentially lead to a commitment from these officials. In addition, the report will be presented publicly in a panel composed of various actors (governments, research centres, church groups, press, among others). Moreover, a series of workshops will be organised to increase the advocacy capacity of CSOs through the use of the popular education methodology. A public awareness campaign on the implementation of the SDGs will aim to reach 100,000 people and inform them about the importance of SDG implementation in the country with explanatory videos. By highlighting the situation of the SDGs in Guatemala, CONGCOOP hopes to strengthen the struggle for human rights in the country.
