Contributing to the resilience of communities in the face of insecurity
Being present throughout the country through its regional coordination units, SPONG wishes to strengthen the capacities of three of these regional branches located in the regions most affected by terrorist attacks. SPONG aims to contribute to the resilience of communities in the face of insecurity and plans to provide training for its members in order to familiarise them with the various themes linked to humanitarian actions that they are constrained to carry out due to the evolution of the security situation in the country. Some of these training sessions will focus on the basics of humanitarian action, its principles, standards and human rights, while others will focus on advocacy, lobbying and capitalisation techniques, as well as training linked to the development of skills essential for monitoring and controlling public action. Finally, SPONG will support its members in establishing links with regional authorities and with the regional dialogue spaces corresponding to the activities of the regional coordination units.
