The overall objective of this project is to bring FONGTO to influence development policies through its regular involvement in thematic and stakeholder platforms. It will help improve citizen control of public action. In most countries from the sub-region and particularly in Togo, development policies are designed with a little involvement of civil society. In order to overcome this problem, FONGTO, in collaboration with its members, wants to influence development policies through its regular involvement in thematic and stakeholder platforms. Support will enable FONGTO to influence public development policies at a higher level. It will be necessary to develop an influence strategy allowing FONGTO to actively participate with innovative proposals to improve development policies at both national and international levels. Thematic commissions will be formed to enable to pool their resources from members working in the same areas. In terms of improving the circulation of information and its visibility, regional representations of FONGTO will be put in place.
