CNONGD aims to empower civil society to monitor and influence the implementation of free quality education at the local level in DRC. This project will seek to connect all CSOs in Kinshasa working towards the implementation of SDG 4 (Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all). The national platform wishes to identify the main issues related to the implementation of free education; strengthen the knowledge of local actors on the mobilisation of new resources at the local level; as well as to produce and disseminate in the press a collective position on the implementation of SDG 4. This will be done through mapping, training, surveys, and the organisation of a national day in favor of free basic education, guaranteeing access for girls and boys. Through the collective actions of CSO members and non-members of the CNONGD, the national platform will eventually collaborate for effective implementation of free and quality education at the local level, respecting the principle of subsidiarity and decentralisation to local actors, due to their proximity to citizens.
