Strengthening Communications and Information & Knowledge Management Systems for Southern African NGO Platforms

In order for SADC-CNGO to be more relevant to its members, strengthening its communication to its members and also on its engagement mandate with SADC Secretariat, the 15 members sates and 14 National Civil Society Platform, its communication would need to be updated and upgraded. There is therefore need to o restructures the current Website to make it more reflective of its members and its mandate in the SADC region.  

 

In line with the 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, SADC-CNGO has been working on the decentralization mechanism, which places emphasis on working through its membership and thus the need to strengthen Communication Strategic.   

 

The Project will therefore contribute towards: 

  • Developing the Communication Strategy which will make SADC-CNGO respond to various communication needs and demands and ensure that development and advocacy information flow to and for all key stakeholders; 

  • Establish a website that it is updated and contributes to regional advocacy and serves the needs of SADC-CNGO membership and the citizens of SADC, including Human Rights Defenders; and  

  • Creating effective and appropriate knowledge and information management system and infrastructure for SADC-CNGO and its members, including the possible creation of a shared intranet for its 15 members to enhance information sharing and learning between members.
