Mrs. Ndey Sireng J Bakurin is a career Environmental Management and Sustainable Development Expert. Currently she is the Executive Director of The Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (TANGO) in The Gambia and a former Executive Director of Gambia National Environment Agency (NEA). Her educational background includes MSc and BSc degrees in Environmental Studies and Environmental Education coupled with a Higher Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Environmental Education and a postgraduate higher diploma in International and development studies. She served as a Member of the Technical Committee on Land, Environment and Natural Resources (TCLEN) of the Gambia Constitutional Review Commission. She has more than 29 years of accumulated professional work experience in environmental & natural resources management including policy and management, gender, education, humanitarian work, sustainable development, impact assessment, education, Human rights and related issues, creative stakeholder engagement, monitoring &evaluation, capacity and network building.
