Innocent Kiiza is an award-winning Ugandan investigative journalist and Assistant Editor at Rwenzori Daily. He also contributes to UgTribune and hosts a health talk show on UBC Ngeya FM. With over 12 years of experience, Innocent specializes in science, environment, climate change, and health reporting. He is a fellow of the UN-RAF, Reuters Institute, Oxford University, and Thomson Foundation. His award-winning work, including the 2024 Isu Elihle Award, the 2024 Wildlife Conservation Award, and recognition as the 2025 second runner-up in Uganda National Journalism Awards for Climate Reporting, has exposed issues such as River Nyamwamba’s pollution and Tibet Hima Mining Company’s environmental violations. Passionate about grassroots storytelling, Innocent amplifies voices of vulnerable communities and highlights indigenous solutions to climate and health challenges, contributing to environmental justice and policy change in Uganda.
