With the final five - year sprint towards 2030, women and youth-led civil society is accelerating SDG delivery where progress is most tangible: locally. Anchored in Forus’ #MarchWithUs 2026 campaign and the report Unlocking the Power of Localization and Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships, this session will showcase how civil society platforms across the Forus network are driving SDG progress through women's leadership. It will spotlight practical, replicable strategies used by women and youth leaders to shape local development plans, influence municipal priorities, strengthen accountability, and build cross-sector partnerships that deliver results for communities. Speakers will share concrete case studies and replicable strategies on SDG governance, financing sustainable development, climate action, offering actionable recommendations for advancing SDG implementation and accountability from local to global levels.
