The Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2026 (FIFAfrica26) will take place from 28 September to 1 October 2026 in Mauritius.

Marking its 13th edition, the event is expected to convene more than 500 participants from across Africa and beyond. It will provide a platform for discussions on key issues shaping the continent’s digital environment, including digital rights, inclusion, internet governance, data policy, artificial intelligence, platform accountability, and digital security.

Registration for FIFAfrica26 is currently open. The organisers are also inviting session proposals for panel discussions, lightning talks, exhibitions, and skills-based workshops. The deadline for submitting proposals is 29 May 2026 at midnight (Nairobi time).

Since its inception in 2014, FIFAfrica has become a key annual gathering for stakeholders engaged in internet freedom, digital democracy, and broader internet governance across Africa and beyond. Visit the website
