Reclaiming spaces and ensuring the recovery of the CSO Sector from the impact of the covid-19 pandemic.
The purpose of CODE-NGO's project is to reclaim spaces and ensure the recovery of the CSO Sector from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As nine out of ten CSOs have been impacted in varying degrees by the sanitary crisis, CSO leaders from different geographical areas and sectoral groups will collectively develop a “COVID-19 Recovery Agenda for the Philippine CSO Sector”. The Recovery Agenda will be developed in a participatory manner, based in roundtable consultations with experts as well as wider consultation workshops with more than 350 people. Once finalized, it will be presented to key stakeholders including the government agencies, committees in Congress, business associations, media, academic sector and other CSOs networks through a multi-stakeholder online event as well as through advocacy meetings. The project aims to ensure the commitment of various stakeholders to support the Recovery Agenda or to adopt, approve and implement the particular policies and projects that it presents. In addition, an online campaign will be organized to promote the Recovery Agenda and to support the role of CSOs across the country, setting the public agenda for the civil society in the country.
