Two decades after the date of its creation, the NGO Platform of Cape Verde is today an organisation which has as its members NGOs, community-based associations, associations of a social nature, associations of professionals, foundations, mutual health and micro-finance institutions, cooperatives, religious institutions of an associative nature and associative institutions of public interest, the great majority of which are community development associations "ACD" (73.5%).

With a focus on changing power dynamics, ensuring localization, and decolonizing practices, the report underscores the pivotal role that civil society organizations can play in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) when appropriately supported.
