Resume: Bibbi is Forus multilingual Communications Coordinator, having joined the team in 2020 (Italian, English, French, Nepali, and Spanish). In addition to her role at Forus, Bibbi is also a documentary filmmaker and the co-founder of Both Nomads, a creative multimedia collective that specializes in using documentary techniques, participatory practices, emerging technologies and principles from solutions journalism. Before joining Forus, Bibbi spent over 8 years working with ZoominTV and various news agencies across South Asia, Lebanon, Belgium, the US and Colombia. Her skills as a multimedia creator and editor were developed during her years as correspondent from Nepal, at the UNESCO Office in Kathmandu, and as videographer at the Institute for Human Development in Arizona. Bibbi's work experience extends to organizations such as the EU Delegation to Nepal, the European Parliament Audiovisual Unit, the European Youth Forum and TedX Brussels as well as in several activism spaces, in particular related to women’s rights, power shifts and civic space.

Motivation: The place that women have occupied in my life is central to my current identity and to my aspirations. I am a believer in the power, healing, and wisdom of women and in the central space that we try to create for ourselves - and for others - in our society. I have also been confronted with women's power despite great sufferings, challenges and even when the current is against them in both the personal and the social sphere. For this reason I am humbled to be part of this leadership development programme and a circle of women from around the globe to learn and share this journey with those around me and to treasure it within myself. As we develop participative campaigns on gender justice every year, I am also looking forward to understanding some of the challenges and opportunities that affect women in CSOs and how together we can weave new narratives and share stories of success. Fun Fact: I am a book “eater” but for some weird reason (I even asked a librarian about this but could find no answer to my existential question) I can never remember the books I read and their memory is always either partially or completely erased in a matter of weeks!
