Milagros Santeiro

Argentina

Red Encuentro, President

Experience: I am a young woman with a background in civil society, as I have been involved in civil society since I was a child. I have experience in writing, coordinating, executing and systematising projects. I also have experience in setting up and coordinating groups. With particular interest and experience in the creation of gender commissions in civil society spaces. As well as teaching workshops and classes.

Motivation: Red Encuentro is strongly addressing the issues of youth, gender and diversity, to such an extent that it has been decided that a young woman will currently lead the space. As president. Therefore, my motivation for participating in the Forus leadership programme is twofold: Firstly, I want to strengthen my personal leadership in order to learn new things and to perform my task as successfully as possible. Secondly, I seek to empower the member organisations of Red Encuentro in a collective way, taking advantage of the tools and knowledge that Forus offers.
I am excited about the opportunity to participate in this programme and contribute to a more inclusive and effective leadership in our network.

Fun facts: I enjoy going to functional training classes and GAP classes, the challenge of trying new weights and exercises in each class is something that motivates me.

Inclusive leadership is leadership that is carried out by actively listening and respecting the time, needs and concerns of teams. It is leadership that takes into account the mind, heart and feet, with clear and precise intentions. It is leadership that is developed with great empathy, and also leadership that allows itself to show vulnerability when necessary. Inclusive leadership embraces and supports its teams and colleagues.
